On the job screen, say you want the job only when you can do it. Asking is not the same as being booked.
Apply is not a booking
Tap Apply only if you can do the skill, date and travel, and have mobile data. The client must still pick you as Primary and confirm with Book. Backup (Standby) is optional for them.
Primary and Standby on the day
Standby only starts if Primary drops out or misses marking they are on the way (En Route). As Primary, tap En Route by one hour before start. Activated Standby must tap En Route by fifteen minutes before.
Primary vs Standby
Asking for the job is not a booking. Wait until you are Primary or Standby and the client confirms with Book.
How it works

On the job screen, send Apply only when you can do the skill, travel there and fit the timing.
You may be chosen as Primary, or as optional Standby backup.
Wait until the client Books. Asking alone is not a booking yet.
As Primary, tap En Route on the job screen when you head to the job. Standby steps up only if activated.
On the job screen, clock in on site. A Primary clock-in releases remaining Standby.
Do the agreed tasks at the home, office or site.

Standby cannot leave the booking early (Withdraw) and has a tighter En Route window if activated. Knowing your role stops no-shows when Primary misses En Route.
