JobBot

Notifications

How JobZapp reaches you when a booking or payment needs your attention.

More

JobZapp reaches you on more than one channel for important job moments. The app push is always primary. WhatsApp is the secondary ping for priority events. Email carries the longer detail when you need receipts or full wording.

Notifications app screen

How channels work

App (primary)

Open the job from the push. This is the first place to act.

WhatsApp (secondary)

Short alert that opens the job in the app, and on some messages quick-reply buttons (Accept, Clock out). From +27 66 045 4791.

Email (detail)

Full wording and receipts when you need to keep a record.

SMS

Still used for some PINs and for Job Safety (with WhatsApp). Invite SMS falls away when WhatsApp is on.

When WhatsApp pings you

Area Examples
Booking Booked and Standby (when you are not excluded); pending Book reminders
Critical Cancel, backout, unpaid (including unpaid Extra Time), Standby activated
Reminders Pending job, pre-clock-in / Accept, unpaid pay, clock-out prompt
Profile Admin status changes that affect hiring (for example revised or suspended)
Emergency Job Safety to your Follow my job contacts: WhatsApp and SMS together

Replying on WhatsApp

Some alerts include quick-reply buttons. Free-form WhatsApp replies reach the human inbox, not JobBot. That is separate from Chat on the job screen.

Reply When you see it What happens
Accept Worker is ready to start (clock-in accept) Accepts that worker on the job so the shift can continue.
Clock out Closing reminder near end of shift Clocks the worker out of that job when the prompt applies to you.
Free-form message Any time you write to +27 66 045 4791 Goes to the admin WhatsApp inbox. Use the same mobile number as your JobZapp account.

App push still arrives first. WhatsApp and email can follow a short delay, and are skipped if you already acted in the app. JobBot in the header is the in-app help chatbot, separate from WhatsApp.

What to do

  1. Choose what to hear about

Turn notification types on or off for the topics you care about.

  2. Keep booking and pay on

Keep booking and payment alerts on so you do not miss the three-hour Book deadline or an unpaid Extra Time prompt.

  3. Save

Save. Priority WhatsApp alerts use the mobile number on your account.

Why it matters

If booking and payment alerts are off, you can miss the three-hour Book deadline on the job screen or an unpaid Extra Time prompt. Keep those on. The app stays primary; WhatsApp is the backup ping; email carries the longer detail. For emergencies, Job Safety uses WhatsApp and SMS together.
