JobBot

Notifications

How invites, bookings and clock reminders reach you on a busy work day.

More

Job invites and booking changes can arrive on more than one channel. The app push is always first. WhatsApp is the backup ping for priority events. Email carries the longer detail when you need to read it carefully.

Notifications app screen

How channels work

App (primary)

Open the invite or job from the push. This is the first place to act.

WhatsApp (backup)

A short alert with a link into the app, and on some messages quick-reply buttons such as Apply, Decline or Need help. From +27 66 045 4791.

Email (detail)

Full wording for invites and important account changes when you need the longer story.

SMS

Still used for some PINs and for Job Safety (with WhatsApp). Invite SMS only when WhatsApp is off.

When WhatsApp pings you

Area Examples
Invites Job post, invite, reinvite (WhatsApp replaces SMS when WhatsApp is on)
Booking Booked and Standby (when you are not excluded)
Critical Cancel, backout, unpaid, Standby activated
Reminders Pending job, pre-En Route / clock-in, unpaid pay, passport/permit docs expiring at 60 / 30 / 7 days
Profile Status changes (Under Review stages, Vetted, revised, suspended). Vetting updates open Your vetting steps. Expired passport or permit can move you back to Under Review.
Emergency Job Safety to your Follow my job contacts: WhatsApp and SMS together

Replying on WhatsApp

Some alerts include quick-reply buttons. Use those for the action named on the button. Free-form WhatsApp replies reach the human inbox, not JobBot. That is separate from Chat on the job screen.

Reply When you see it What happens
Apply / Decline Job invite or reinvite Marks you Applied or Declined in the app. The client is notified. Check skill, travel and timing before you tap Apply.
Clock out Closing reminder near end of shift Clocks you out of that job (location is not captured from WhatsApp).
Need help Vetting status updates Asks the vetting team to follow up. It does not change your Under Review stage. Vetting alerts open Your Vetting Steps in the app.
Free-form message Any time you write to +27 66 045 4791 Goes to the admin WhatsApp inbox. Use the same mobile number as your JobZapp account.

App push still arrives first. WhatsApp and email can follow a short delay, and are skipped if you already acted in the app. Clock-in always needs the app (GPS). JobBot in the header is the in-app help chatbot, separate from WhatsApp.

What to do

  1. Turn on the notification types you need, especially job invites and Apply alerts.

  2. Keep invite, booking and En Route reminders on so you do not miss work while you are on the road or on site.

  3. Save your choices. Priority WhatsApp alerts use the mobile number on your account.

Why it matters

If invite and En Route alerts are off, you can miss a shift while travelling or on another job. Keep the app and WhatsApp channels on for work days.
